WOS is pleased to have given the following awards to students eligible for presentation awards at the 5th North American Ornithological Conference in Vancouver (13-18 Aug 2012):
  • Alexander Wilson Prize (oral presentation): Andrés Cuervo, Louisiana State University, "Evolutionary assembly of the Andean avifauna: A comparative phylogeographic study of diversification and elevational distribution"
  • Lynds Jones Prize (poster presentation): Christine Madliger, University of Windsor, "Applying stress hormones to conservation: considering the repeatability of corticosterone levels"
  • Nancy Klamm Award (undergraduate presentation): Sarah MacLean, Cornell University, "Real danger or crying wolf? Auditory and visual threat recognition in gulls"
Congratulations to all of these student researchers, and their research mentors!!
