Melanie Colón
Two reintroduction-biology related opportunities coming up: The 2nd International Wildlife Reintroduction Conference will be held from November 13-16, 2018 in Chicago. Reintroduction biologists and managers from around the globe will convene at Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago to share information, triumphs and tribulations from experiences restoring wildlife back into the wild. For more details see https://www.reintro.org/ In addition to the full conference, a four day pre-conference workshop providing specialist training for effective conservation translocations. This is a fantastic opportunity to further engage with your peers and to receive training to build your expert tool set. We believe it will be relevant for those with both limited and extensive experience with conservation translocations. It presents a highly useful ‘how to’ for application of the IUCN RSG Guidelines. If you are interested please visit https://www.reintro.org/about-the-workshop/ There are scholarships available for the workshop and the conference - please see the websites for more information, or contact us at reintroductionconference@lpzoo.org.
