Fern Davies Posted June 18, 2012 Share Posted June 18, 2012 Yellow-billed Cuckoo Workshop and Training Session, Reno NV July 5-6 2012 The Great Basin Bird Observatory will be offering a workshop for individuals who will be surveying for or are interested in Yellow-billed Cuckoos. This workshop will cover cuckoo biology and identification and the current survey methodology. We will spend the afternoon (1pm to 5pm) of 5 July going over behavior, I.D., vocalizations, and common species that can be confused with cuckoos. On the morning (6am to 10am) of 6 July we will go to the field and conduct a survey, work on filling out the forms, and address any questions participants may have. All participants will receive a copy of the current survey methodology and a cuckoo survey CD. The training session will be held in Reno NV. Location details will be provided when the number of participants has been determined.
