The two-year Early-Career Research Fellowships recognize tenure track

health and well-being, or environmental protection. Fellows’ areas of
research may include the social and behavioral sciences, health and
medicine, engineering, earth and life sciences, and relevant
interdisciplinary fields.

The one-year Science Policy Fellowships place doctoral students and
professionals who have received their graduate degrees in the past five
years with a state environmental, natural resources, oil and gas, or public
health agency, or in the regional office of a relevant federal agency in the
Gulf of Mexico region. Fellows’ areas of study may include the social and
behavioral sciences, health and medicine, engineering, earth and life
sciences, and relevant interdisciplinary fields.
