Funding Opportunity Description: The mission of Ocean Connectors is to educate, inspire, and connect underserved youth living in Pacific coastal communities through the study of migratory wildlife. Ocean Connectors builds a bridge between the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service (FWS) and the local community. Next year, 1,000 National City schoolchildren will visit urban refuges and get a chance to work one-on-one with FWS biologists and habitat experts. This unique mentorship opportunity connects urban residents with the incredible natural resources in their own backyard, San Diego Bay.
