Melanie Colón Posted May 11, 2015 Share Posted May 11, 2015 REQUEST FOR ASSISTANCE: Tricolored Blackbirds The Santa Lucia Conservancy, Carmel CA, is conducting research on the tricolored blackbird (Agelaius tricolor) along the Central Coast of California. If researchers or birders observe tricolored blackbirds, both males and females, with leg bands (aluminum on left and color bands on both legs) please report color/leg combinations by email to (EM: cwyckoff@slconservancy.org) or by submitting an observation through eBird and including band details in the notes for the observation. This species was recently emergency listed under the California Endangered Species Act and very little is known about coastal population ecology.
