Klamath Bird Observatory (KBO) offers an internship program that provides mentorship and expert instruction in applied conservation science techniques, including bird survey methodologies, to early-career conservation scientists. These motivated student-interns develop the personal and professional skills they need to excel in to the future as conservation leaders. This is one of KBO’s most far reaching and influential programs –  former KBO interns can now be found throughout the continent doing great science and driving important conservation.

We are currently raising funds to support our internship program through our first online crowdfunding campaign – "Saving Migratory Birds: Help Klamath Bird Observatory Build a Network of Caretakers for Migratory Birds". We are posting to ask that our ornithological community help to spread the word. You can view and share the KBO campaign via this link – www.indiegogo.com/projects/saving-migratory-birds. Please consider sharing this link through social media and other outreach forums.

Any help you could give to “get the word out” about this campaign to benefit early-career conservation scientists and migratory birds is greatly appreciated!
