Job Description:The Institute for Sustainable International Studies, ISIS Belize, http://www.isisbelize.com, is offering a new field course in tropcial ornithology, May 31 to June 14. This course will explore the bird ecology, field techniques and bird watching in a variety of habitats in Belize. Field components will be undertaken at the Toucan Ridge Ecology and Education Hosting Station, (URL: http://www.treesociety.org). Field techniques will include: bird observation, bird recordings and callbacks, point-count surveys, transect lines, mist-netting and bird banding. Students will do a small research project in the field technique of their choice, conducted at the station. The final part of the course will take students to some of the best bird watching hotspots in Belize including: Crooked Tree Wildlife Sanctuary, Tobacco Caye and Man O 'War Caye.
