The Society for the Conservation and Study of Caribbean Birds is now BirdsCaribbean.

The new BirdsCaribbean logo depicting the Bananaquit reflects the vibrancy of Caribbean bird conservation and our mission (see below).

The organization has been in the process of finalizing a new Strategic Plan and rebranding itself with a new name and logo. As President Howard Nelson reported to membership, "It’s part of an exciting effort to grow our organization and reach out to new members and audiences. The shorter new name and lively logo reflect our keen interest in making our organization more accessible and well-known in the wider Caribbean society."

Nelson continued, "We are looking forward to our new identity and image supporting us as we grow our organization, expand our Caribbean-wide flagship programs, and engage new people in birds and conservation to achieve more conservation impacts. But note that our essential mission remains the same—working with and strengthening our partners to promote the conservation of Caribbean birds and their habitats through sound science, management, education and conservation action."
